- Go to the resident's administration page and click on the PRN Medication tab.
- Identify the correct PRN medication and check the date and time of when it was last administered.
To review recent medication history:Click Show PRNs given in last 24 hours
- Once you have administered the PRN meds, click Comment to record the details.
- Enter the administration dose, reason, time, and any other relevant information.
- Scroll down and click Administered.
- To help you see what you’ve done, the medication line(s) will turn a different colour depending on the reason for administration and/ non-administration:
- Yellow for medications that are refused or withheld
- Blue if you supplied the dose for the resident to administer themselves
- Red for any medications was not administered
- Green if all medication/s were administered
