When a prescriber is unable to prescribe an order in MediMap directly and are providing a verbal phone order instead.
- Open the resident's medication chart. Click on Notes.
- Click on Add New Note.
- Select Administration of Non-Displayed Medication from the drop-down list under Subject. Enter in the Content box the information for the verbal order and what was administered. Tick the following:
- Notify Facility,
- Notify Prescriber.
- Click on Post.
- The second staff member will need to acknowledge that they were a witness by logging into MediMap and searching for the resident and then the note.
Click on the speech bubble to add a comment.
- Once the comment has been added click on Save Reply.
The note will display every time a staff member accesses the resident's medication chart or there is medication administration for this resident.
