When a barcode is added in a resident medication chart, the same barcode will be available for pharmacy in the Changes Dashboard.
The pharmacy should continue with their current MediMap workflow processes but use the barcode for dispensing medications. Medications without a barcode cannot be dispensed under eNRMC rules when a chart is labelled as Electronic Medication Chart.
You can create an administration order when needed by selecting Chart medication only. This option ensures that no e-script is generated, and the medication is added only to the electronic medication chart for administration only. The recommendation must still be approved by a prescriber.
