Release: MediMap Mobile V5.2.0
Theme: SSO and Double Sign PIN functionality
Release Date: 25th August 2026
Downtime: None
Summary
Mobile V5.2.0 focuses on safer authentication workflows, improved double sign behaviour, stronger offline support, and a smoother medication administration experience. This release brings together work across SSO login, PIN-based double sign, offline login resilience, UI improvements and several high-impact bug fixes.
Key improvements
Authentication and sign-in flexibility
- Users can log in using either SSO or MediMap credentials regardless of how the app was originally installed.
- Changing sign-in method no longer requires users to re-enter an Installation ID in the intended workflow improvements delivered for this release.
- Offline login support has been strengthened for both standard MediMap users and SSO users using previously established local credentials and PIN-based authentication where supported.
- A re-authentication popup flow was introduced for expired sessions so users can authenticate again without unnecessarily losing context.
- User identity visibility has been improved so staff can more clearly confirm which account is currently active.
Double Sign and PIN workflow enhancements
- Mobile double sign workflows now better support the intended SSO and standard authentication patterns.
- Support was added for double sign on Supplied actions where required.
- “No” actions such as Withheld, Refused, and Not Administered no longer incorrectly prompt for double sign, while Dose Supplied continues to follow the required workflow.
- Button and modal behaviour after cancelling a double sign flow has been improved so users can retry administration without needing a sync reset.
- Dose validation and messaging were improved to better explain invalid, blank, out-of-range, and precision-related dose entries.
Offline resilience
- The app now better supports offline login and continued medication administration using locally stored data where prerequisites have been met.
- Offline messaging was improved to better explain whether an area has never been downloaded versus when no offline resident data is available.
- If a device has a network connection but cannot actually reach the API, the app now better aligns to offline behaviour instead of surfacing confusing failures.
- Issues affecting offline access to all selected facility areas were addressed.
- Support was improved for offline use after switching authentication methods.
Medication administration and usability
- A dedicated Supplied button was introduced to better separate supply actions from “No” reasons.
- Medication code placement was updated to better match web behaviour and improve readability.
- Short course medications and titration-related display support were improved.
- Offsite patient visibility now aligns more closely with last-synced patient state.
- General UI improvements in the V5 stream continue to make common administration tasks clearer and faster.
What this means for users
Signing in, switching login methods, administering double sign medications, and continuing work offline should feel more predictable and safer in this release.
