- Click the settings icon on the MediMap toolbar.
- Click on Staff tab and then Add a user.
- On the staff tab, type the:
- First and last name of the staff member (this shows in the MediMap toolbar when the person logs in),
- Staff member’s username,
- Enter the default password twice (MediMap reminds your staff member to change it when they first log in),
- Select the staff member’s role in your care organisation,
- If you’re adding a registered nurse, select whether they can admit residents,
- If you’re adding a health or personal care assistant, select whether they can only administer packed medications.
Click Save.
Once you save a login, you can't delete it or change the username. If a staff member leaves, disable their login. MediMap will archive it, but it stays in the system for auditing.
Let your staff member know:- Your care organisation username and password,
- Their username and their password,
- They should change their password in their settings when they first log in,
- The new password must be at least four numbers or characters, unless your manager set different requirements,
If your staff member either forgets their password, are locked out or MediMap, or thinks someone knows it, they should contact you to reset it straight away. Only someone with manager, administrator or corporate-level access can reset staff passwords.
MediMap can’t reset your staff passwords. Please make sure at least two people with manager-level access are always available to reset passwords.
- Reset Password
To reset a staff member’s password, click Reset Password on that users account, then click Reset Password at the top of the page.
You will then be prompted to set the staff member a temporary password they can use to log in.
Once you have set the password and clicked Reset Password, the staff member can they login where they will be prompted to set their new password.
- Disable Access
Find the staff member you want to disable access for. Click on the Disable button. If that staff member needs access at any time in the future, then click on the Enable button and access is restored - Competent
State in your facility policy what this record means: either MediMap system competent or fully medication competent.
Once the staff member has completed the relevant assessment, click on the blue competent button to record the date and time of competency as defined in your policy.
