What the Integration Does
The MediMap–AlayaCare integration keeps your resident and medication records in sync without requiring staff to enter information twice. Each system plays to its strengths:
AlayaCare is the source of truth for resident details (who the resident is, their date of birth, identifiers, and where they live).
MediMap is the source of truth for medications and administration (what’s prescribed, given, withheld, or refused).
Together, they ensure everyone has the right information in the right place, at the right time.
Key Benefits for Facilities
No double entry: Residents are entered once in AlayaCare and appear automatically in MediMap.
Medication visibility: Anything recorded in MediMap is sent back into AlayaCare as a progress note.
Improved safety: Always the most up-to-date resident and medication details.
Efficiency: Staff spend less time updating systems and more time on resident care.
Compliance: Keeps records aligned with clinical and medication management standards.
What Flows from AlayaCare → MediMap
Whenever you add or update a resident in AlayaCare, MediMap will automatically receive:
First name, last name, preferred name
Gender and date of birth
Medicare, DVA, or Concession card numbers (unique identifiers)
Facility, village, or unit details
Resident ID (careRecipientID)
Address and photo (if available)
If details change in AlayaCare (for example, a name correction or new location), MediMap updates to match.
What Flows from MediMap → AlayaCare
MediMap sends back progress notes into AlayaCare so care staff can see what medications have been given without logging into another system.
Progress notes include:
Resident name and facility
Date and time of administration
Medication name and dose
Status (e.g., administered, withheld, refused, not given)
Comments entered by staff in MediMap
MediMap also shares:
Regular medications
PRN (“as required”) medications and outcomes
Standing orders
Omissions (e.g., refused or missed doses)
Observations (such as blood glucose, blood pressure, weight, pain, mood)
General notes and medical notes
How It Works Day to Day
