- From the dashboard, click Search.
- Start typing the residents first or last name. You can also use their:
- Medicare, DVA or IHI number if you’re in Australia
- NHI number if you’re in New Zealand
Click Search or press RETURN on your keyboard. MediMap lists the patient if it can find their chart.
- To cut down the number of residents to search through, click Filter Search List and select a facility area.
Important Note:
If a prescriber wants to be able to search for any patient (regardless of who the lead prescriber is) within a care facility, then the Care Facility Manager or Clinical Manager at that site can be asked to associate the prescriber with the facility to enable this.
- Click the residents name or photo to show their chart.
MediMap shows any active notes. You can act immediately or keep showing the note when you open the patient's chart or their administration page.
- The chart shows the residents information and their charted medications on different tabs depending on the med type – such as regular meds, syringe drivers, OST or PRNs.
Tab headings turn blue when a med is charted for the resident.
The OST tab is for medication charted specifically for addiction services.
- Click a medication to see its charting and administration history.
- Click Changes last 48 hours at the top of a resident's chart to see the chart and med changes in that time. Or click Changes in the Handover tab of the dashboard to open the Changes page.
- To see any stopped meds, scroll to the end of each medication tab and click Show stopped regular medications.
Now let’s look at checking resident notes. - Go back to the dashboard and click Notes to be actioned [#]. The number shows how many notes there are.
- Click View Notes to see each one.
- Click Action to act yourself or click Keep Displaying to leave the action for someone else.
