- Click Add a new regular medication
- Search for the S8 med to prescribe and click the correct one in the list.
- Enter the prescription details:

- Type the number of units to prescribe. MediMap automatically enters one pack for you. If you need to prescribe more than this, enter the new unit amount, and call PBS to get the correct permit number and expiry date,
- Type the days between repeating the med and if required, the streamline authority. Click the information icon to learn about the streamline authority codes.
- Leave the Repeats field as 0 (repeats aren’t applicable for S8s on electronic charts).
- Enter the remaining medication information - the same as you would for a non-S8 med, then click Start.
- Enter your pin to confirm your charting, click Submit.

- Enter your pin and click Submit.
- A green tick shows once MediMap confirms the script.
- The second way to rescript an S8 med uses a report.

- Go back to the dashboard and click Reports.
- Click ReScript S8 & Authority Meds.
- Select or enter a care organisation or area, a patient’s name, or a prescriber and click Search.
